Spelling Easter Eggs

These spinning Easter eggs make a great spelling game for home or school! A fun way to learn to spell, rhyme, and learn sight words. You can also use them to teach shapes, math, patterns, and more! A wonderful use for those leftover surprise Easter eggs!

What you’ll need:

  • Colorful surprise eggs

  • Permanent markers

Easy Steps:

For the first egg:

  • Hold your egg sideways and on one side write the letters: R, B, P

  • On the other side, write the word endings: an, ug, ig

(Ran, Ban, Pan, Rug, Bug, Pug, Rig, Big, Pig)

For the second egg:

  • Hold your egg sideways and on one side write the letters: F, B, H

  • On the other side, write the word endings: at, all, it

(Fat, Bat, Hat, Fall, Ball, Hall, Fit, Bit, Hit)

Let your little ones spin the eggs until a capital letter matches with the word endings to form a full sight word (ex: F + all = Fall)

For added educational fun, use other eggs for shapes, math equations, patterns and more!
