Peek-a-Boo Easter Egg

A fun and simple Easter Egg toy to make with your Babyfirst fan this Spring! Great for babies, toddlers and preschoolers alike. Makes a great decoration too!

What you’ll need:

  • Babyfirst printable (optional)

  • Cardboard

  • Markers, crayons, paints, etc

  • Scissors

  • Glue

  • Craft stick

  • Fun tak

5 Easy Steps:

  • Draw your own character or click here to download your babyfirst printable characters

  • Cut, color, and set aside

  • Cut the cardboard into 2 even egg-shaped pieces (slightly larger than the size of your character)

  • Decorate one of the egg-shaped pieces

  • Cut the top of both the eggs off in a zig-zag pattern - resembling a cracked egg shell. (See image). Be sure to cut the plain one so that it is slightly higher than the other. You can discard the top of the plain egg

  • Glue the top of your character’s head to the back of the decorated egg shell top

  • Glue a craft stick to the back of your character

  • Connect the two egg shell bottoms together using thick fun tak – leaving a space for the craft stick to be able to slide in and out of in the middle

Now your little ones can play peek-a-boo with their favorite characters!
