Frozen Fruit Excavation is a great sensory activity that will spark the mind of your budding scientists while they try to figure out how to free their afternoon snack from within the ice!
What you’ll need:
Cut up fruit pieces
A plastic container
Water
Freezer
Spoon and/or toy tools
3 Easy Steps:
Fill the container with water and place the fruit inside
Freeze
Tell your children that their snack is trapped in ice in the container and they need to come up with a plan to get it out. You can, of course, guide them along if they get stuck! Place spoons, toy tools, cups of water and any other item you have handy around them.
How is this beneficial for my child?
Sensory activities help promote exploration and cause the children to use scientific techniques all while playing and having a great time!
